WHY A WATERPARK?

A key part of the investment strategy for CWoAR is to encourage visits spread more across the year, building into the ‘shoulder’ months and increasing guest numbers in the more traditionally ‘off-peak’ periods. A waterpark fits this profile.

  1. Waterparks are attractive all year round, as they are not weather sensitive.

  2. An indoor water adventure at CWoAR would diversify its offer, differentiate it from its competitors and increase the number of people taking multi-day short breaks rather than day trips.

  3. More multi day visits will bring additional economic benefits to the area.

  4. There are no comparable existing waterparks in Greater London or within the M25.

  5. There is also a lack of wet leisure and swimming pool facilities in Kingston Borough, particularly in the South of the Borough.

  6. The Wanyama Reserve provides a unique opportunity to create a new water adventure that is closely linked to the existing immersive safari experience and in keeping with ‘Britain’s Wildest Adventure!’
